About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Student Services Administrator to provide efficient administrative support within the Student Services department. Reporting to the Head of Student Services, you will play a vital role in supporting students, parents, and college staff, ensuring the smooth operation of student-related services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for student services, responding professionally to queries from students, parents, and staff.
  • Provide guidance and advice on bursary and Free School Meals applications.
  • Offer administrative support to the Assistant Principal, Student Experience, and the Head of Student Services.
  • Take minutes for the Safeguarding Committee and other student services-related meetings.
  • Manage student inquiries regarding student services and provide necessary support.
  • Assist in monitoring student progress through effective administrative support.
  • Maintain and develop Safeguarding and Wellbeing resources on MyUSP.
  • Promote key safeguarding and wellbeing topics via social media platforms.
  • Provide student references and update student information on college systems.
  • Support the student induction process and participate in college-wide CPD activities.

General Duties

  • Be flexible and willing to travel across campuses when necessary.
  • Promote and uphold the College’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion policies.
  • Embed safeguarding and PREVENT initiatives within student services.
  • Support the College’s health and safety policies and ensure compliance.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and performance appraisals.
  • Participate in student CPD days and contribute to college-wide initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • A good all-round standard of education, particularly in English and Communications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment with strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
