Course overview

The Level 3 NCFE Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching & Learning in Schools is for anyone wanting to work in a school or college environment, supporting students and class teachers.

Entry requirements

You will need a 75% or above pass rate in Level 1 English and Maths - this will be assessed at your interview.

You must also be working in a school or college at least 16 hours per week, this could be on a voluntary basis.

What will I study?

You will learn how to prepare resources, complete observations and plan for activities.It will allow you to become a qualified Teaching Assistant in 15 months.

It can include working with children/young people with specific needs or intervention groups.

What could I do next?

You could progress on to a Teaching degree and university, or continue in your employment. You could become a Cover Supervisor if you have completed the optional unit as part of the course.
