You will work in the Early Years environment where you will study children's development, from conception to 8yrs, with links made to influential theorists along with the relevant legislation and guideline that Early Years Practitioners work too.
You will work as a Practitioner in an Early Years Setting or daycare setting and will need some previous experience of working in this sector.
- 5 GCSE's grade C/4 or above in GCSE English Language or Literature and Maths
- If your English is a D/3, your Maths must be at least a C/4 and vice versa.

Why study at USP College?
We offer two progression routes from this qualification - one is for those wanting to work in a support school environment (Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools).
We have also incorporated GCSE English and Maths into the course for those wishing to complete the Early Years Practitioner route.
What could I do next?
You could progress to an advanced level Apprenticeship, professional or a university level qualification such as the Foundation Degree in Early Years at our Seevic Campus or full-time employment in the industry.
Potential roles could include being an Early Years Assistant, Care Worker or Assistant Youth and Comunity Worker.
