Access to HE - Pre-Access

Course overview

This study programme is a great opportunity for anyone that is 19+ and considering returning to education after a period of time and planning on going to university. The lessons will blended learning, with the majority taking place virtually by a subject expert who also gives 1:1 support live online.

*Please note: For applicants that have not already achieved a Grade 4/C or above in GCSE Maths and/or English Language or a Pass in Functional Skills Maths and/or English Language, there will also be additional hours assigned for this.

Entry requirements

  • There are no specific entry requirements for this course but please note you will need the below to progress to the Level 3 Access to Higher Education course:
    • You will need grade C/4 or above in GCSE English Language and/or Maths, or a Level 2 in Functional Skills.
    • If you don't currently have the entry requirements needed, don't worry, you could study GCSE or Functional Skills English and/or Maths the College!

What will I study?

As part of the course you will develop your academic and practical skills, building your confidence so that you'll be ready to progress to one of the many Access courses available at the college, subject to previous qualifications.
