What will I study?

This is an exciting and dynamic Business and Accounting course led by a professional team of dedicated industry experts. You will study a programme that explores the modern business and financial environment, helping you develop a strong set of vocational skills in both business and accounting. These skills will prepare you for entry into the fast-paced and evolving world of commerce, finance, and enterprise. The course also opens doors to a wide range of professional and higher education opportunities.

Throughout the course, you will study key topics and disciplines including business resources, marketing, accounting principles, business ethics, and event management. In your second year, you will choose between two specialist pathways:

  • Entrepreneurship, where you will have the opportunity to launch and run your own business within College.
  • Accounting and Finance, which provides a deeper focus on financial management, bookkeeping, and professional accounting practices.

This tailored approach ensures that whether your interest lies in starting a business or pursuing a career in finance and accounting, you’ll gain the knowledge and experience to succeed.

 How will the student be taught and assessed?

  • Classroom lessons and discussions – to understand key business concepts.
  • Practical projects and case studies – applying what you learn to real or simulated business situations.
  • Group work and presentations – developing teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent research and coursework – building your ability to analyse, plan, and evaluate.
  • Guest speakers, trips, or work experience – giving you a taste of the logistics business world.

Entry requirements

  • Maths and English GCSE at grade 4 or above
  • A total of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above
  • A keen interest in Business and Global Logistics
