On to the next stage!

USP alumnus Keir Harding tells us about the wonderful time he is having studying at The Bridge Theatre Training Company and how grateful he is to his tutors Clare Smith, Becky Lynch, Paige Kaye-Baker and Lucy Sykes for giving him the skills and personal attributes needed to be accepted to the prestigious institution.

I would like to say thank you for all the support and guidance during my time at USP College. Thank you all for being the most caring, passionate, kindest teachers and role models I have been fortunate enough to come across. My time at USP’s Seevic Campus has truly been an experience I will forever be grateful for.

Over my two years at College I was fortunate enough to attain so much knowledge about the industry and what is expected to lie ahead on this journey, the good, the bad and everything in-between. I have learnt so much from you all not only about acting, dance and singing but the level of dedication, commitment, and expectations it takes to thrive in this profession. I’ve learnt on such a deep level the foundations and skills required to make realistic characters with authentic genuine backstories, which inspire and resonate with the audience, you have truly taught me what the true core of acting is.

Every project I have ever worked on at the Seevic Campus has been such a beautiful experience, and each performance and story our class ever told, I hold dear to my heart. Thank you for pushing us all to be the best we could be, even when sometimes our class didn’t always understand why until later on. Everything I’ve learnt here has allowed me to progress and move on to attend The Bridge TTC, which I am loving. I’m learning so much, and have met so many wonderful teachers, students, and actors all with the same passion as everyone at USP. It really was one of the best decisions I feel I have ever made.

However, I know I would never have been able to attend this amazing institution if it wasn’t for the support from all of you, and for that, I am forever thankful you. I truly could go on and on about every little thing I am grateful for but what I do know for sure is that any person who has a passion for acting will able to achieve and unlock their full potential from the guidance and care from all of you. Any student who is fortunate enough to be taught by you all is blessed to be in such safe hands, with incredible teachers who will go above and beyond for their students. Not only will you give the next students of USP College acting skills they can carry with them to the next stage of their career, but you will equip them with the skills to grace them through the rest of their lives, not only to be better people, but be the best people they can be.
