Design challenge success!

USP College student, Sophia Wylie, has been ‘Highly Commended’ in the Royal Opera House Design Challenge in the Marketing Strategy and Design category.

42 schools and colleges from all over the country took part in the ROH Design Challenge competition, with judges from the Royal Opera House design, production and marketing teams judging the 85 finalists.

Sophia, from Basildon, is currently studying A-Level Photography, English Language & Literature and Psychology at USP College. 

Photography teacher, Cody Gray, said: “This was an exceptional achievement and is testament to her hard work. We are extremely proud of Sophia.”

Sophia’s work will now be displayed at the ROH Covent Garden and she will have the opportunity to see the Romeo & Juliet ballet along with a backstage tour of the Opera House.

Congratulations must also go to Weronika Plecha, from Chadwell-St-Mary, who was selected to represent the college for Set Design. Weronika is currently studying A-Level Business, Psychology and 3D Design & Architecture.
