Stacey and Herbie Win at Crufts

USP student regularly competes with dog Herbie in agility competitions, this time at Crufts!

USP College student, Stacey Frost, 17, from Benfleet, competed in Crufts 2020 with her dog Herbie, 9, winning 1st place in Under 18’s Jumping and 12-17 Young Kennel Club (YKC) Pairs, and achieving 4th in Agility Dog of the Year.

Stacey has been competing for six years in total, two and a half of those with Herbie, and has represented Team GB in Switzerland in 2019, as well as competing in Crufts 2019 and 2020, alongside 20,000 other dogs.

Over the years, due to their success, they have gained sponsorship from various companies such as Newlands Pets, The Dog Food Specialists and Ade Parker Photography, to support them in competitions.

Stacey said “We compete and train all year round to do what we do, and we were so happy to gain 1st place in two categories this year”.

Steven Scott, Stacey’s College tutor said “Obviously we are very proud to have such a talented student, Stacey works very hard at what she does and we’re sure she’ll be very successful in the future”.

Stacey is Studying Sport and Exercise Science Level 3 at USP College and has hopes to continue competing in large events after College and become a professional dog trainer, which she is already well on her way to achieving.

See you at Crufts 2021, Stacey!
