Functional Skills Tutor (Maths - English & IT)

We would like to appoint an enthusiastic Functional Skills Teacher wishing to join a strong, dynamic, supportive and successful department to contribute to the excellent learning environment we provide for our apprentices.

Location: Basildon, Essex. (With the expectation to travel to USP College on occasion) 

Hours:  Monday - Friday 8:30 - 4:30

Salary £21,616 

This is an exciting opportunity within the ITEC organisation following USP College (Unified Seevic & Palmer’s College) acquiring ITEC Learning Technologies Ltd.

ITEC deliver apprenticeships and commercial provision within the USP college group to a range of local employers. 

The main duties as a member of the teaching staff are to support the educational experience of the student, assist the effective working of the student learning area and contribute to the realisation of the College’s mission, vision and values.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Maths, English & IT Functional Skills tutor to deliver teaching and learning to our apprentices. The purpose of the role is to provide a high quality teaching, learning & assessment. You will devise individual action plans for apprentices. 

Current knowledge of both GCSE and Functional Skills specifications are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work on own initiative
