Job Details

Storm Fitness & Leisure is seeking a flexible and enthusiastic Class Instructor to join our dedicated team. This casual role requires availability to provide class cover during the day, evening, and weekends as needed.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To deliver high-quality, engaging, and inclusive classes that inspire, motivate, and develop learners’ knowledge and skills while supporting their personal growth and achievement.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging classes that meet learners’ needs.
  • Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor learner progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Ensure sessions promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and health & safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support continuous improvement.

About You:

Essential:

  • Good standard of education with subject expertise in your teaching area.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred sessions.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends, depending on course needs.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding principles.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for helping learners succeed.

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Previous teaching, training, or coaching experience.
  • Experience working with learners of mixed ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
  • Familiarity with digital learning tools and virtual teaching platforms.
