Palmer’s - Transport

Easily accessible by our dedicated College Bus Service or public transport.

Our Palmer’s Campus is located in Grays just off the A13 and benefits from good transport links.

 

Public Transport

By car

You can easily access the campus from the A13. Please use the postcode RM17 5TD on your satnav. We offer free parking but can’t guarantee every student a space.

 

By bike

You’re very welcome to cycle to our Palmer’s Campus. There are covered shelters for locking up your bike.

 

By bus

Ensignbus Company and First Bus both offer affordable travel for students.

We recommend that you contact these companies direct for further information, as routes and prices are subject to change.

 

By train

The nearest stations are Grays and Tilbury, both on the Fenchurch Street line.

Discounted student season tickets are available. Register online for a c2c Smartcard at c2c-online.co.uk and follow the instructions to save a third off your rail travel to college.

Please note that these stations are not within reasonable walking distance of the college and will require further transport.

College Bus Service

In order to make getting to college as easy as possible, we offer a subsidised College Bus Service with pick-ups across Essex.

Although the buses can’t fit perfectly around every student’s timetable, they will ensure that you arrive at college before lessons start and get home after the day’s lessons have finished.

Areas currently served by the College Bus Service are:

  • Hornchurch
  • Rainham
  • Upminster

Pricing and Payment

The cost of the College Bus Service is £505 per year. This is payable termly as follows; Term One £200, Term Two £200 and Term Three £105. 

To make a payment please use the Colleges online system - ParentPay.

Please note, the College Bus Service will run subject to take-up and bus contracts.
