USP Storming Ahead

USP Storm Sports Academies have achieved brilliant results at recent AoC Nationals in Nottingham.

Celebrations have begun as USP Storm travels home from Nottingham after competing in the AoC Sport National Championships 2024. A total of 30 students from Men's Rugby, Cross Country, Table Tennis and Tennis competed from 19-21 April.

The Men's Rugby team performed dominantly during their game, by winning 4 out of the 6 games and picked up Silver in the National Championships.

Congratulations to Louise for placing 4th in Table Tennis, Olivia for reaching the quarter-finals in Tennis and Luke for placing 38th in Men's Cross Country with a time of 18 minutes, 14 seconds!

Also, a massive well done to our Palmer's Campus Pathways team for competing in the first-ever Pan Disability Football match at Nationals and for winning one of their games. The team trained with Higher Education Students at USP College to prepare them for the big day!

This was the 44th year of the AoC Sport National Championships, it is the largest annual sporting event in the UK, where students from all over the country come together to compete.

Thank you to Cera Care for supporting our Rugby Academy over the weekend as they represented the East of England.

Both our Seevic and Palmer's Campus is home to our Storm Academy. We offer support to any athlete at the college but pride ourselves in the achievements of our teams: Netball, Men's and Women's Rugby, Basketball and Men's and Women's Football.

Anyone can become a part of the Storm Academy, no matter what course you choose to study with us. To join our Storm Academy, follow us on Instagram and keep an eye out for the next round of half-term trial dates.
