The T-Level in Cybersecurity is designed for students who want to build strong digital, technical, and security skills that are in high demand. This two‑year course gives you the knowledge and hands‑on experience needed to move into the fast‑growing world of cybersecurity.
You’ll learn the essential digital skills employers are looking for, and the course combines classroom learning with a real industry placement, giving you the confidence and experience to step into higher education, an apprenticeship, or employment. Cybersecurity is one of the UK’s biggest growth areas, and this course gives you a clear route into specialist digital careers.
All students start with the core Computer Science component, building a strong foundation in digital and computing skills. You’ll learn:

You’ll then move into the Cyber Security pathway, where you’ll explore how digital threats work and how systems are protected. You’ll study:

Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English Language & Maths, or a relevant Level 2 Diploma. Additionally, students will need to seek a suitable industry placement of 1 day a week

After completing this T-Level, you’ll be ready for a wide range of exciting digital and cybersecurity progression options. You could move straight into roles such as:

Alternatively, you can step into a higher or degree apprenticeship in digital and cybersecurity, allowing you to develop your skills while working. This T Level opens the door to a future in one of the UK’s most in‑demand digital sectors.
