What will I study?

Develop the knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviors needed to progress into business, accounting, finance and related professional careers. This program combines broad business study with a specialist focus on accounting and finance, giving you opportunities to apply learning to realistic organisations, financial information, business decisions and employer-related activities. 

The program is designed for learners who enjoy problem solving, working with numbers, understanding how organisations operate and communicating ideas clearly. Across two years you will build skills in research, analysis, marketing, management, finance, teamwork, presentation and evidence-based decision making.

Study program structure 
The program combines two Level 3 qualifications: the BTEC National Diploma in Business and the V Level in Accounting and Finance. Together, these provide a coherent qualification program across the two years. The V Level is an integral part of the study program, not an optional extra.

The V Level in Accounting and Finance will provide the specialist accounting and finance element of the program. The qualification will develop applied knowledge of accounting and finance in organisational contexts, including interpreting financial statements, ratios, budgets, costs and investment information to support ethical and evidence-based decisions.

Entry requirements

  • Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above or a relevant Level 2 vocational qualification at Merit or above
  • GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths or English Language.
