This innovative Level 3 programme is designed for creative students who are passionate about design, craftsmanship, innovation and visual communication. Combining jewellery design, interior design and product design, the course develops the practical, technical and professional skills needed to progress into higher education, apprenticeships or careers within the creative industries.
Throughout the course, students will explore the full design process, from initial research and concept development through to prototyping, making and presentation. Working within professional studio environments, they will learn how to respond to client briefs, identify market trends, understand sustainable design practices and create solutions that are both functional and visually engaging.
Students will experiment with a wide range of materials, techniques and digital tools, including model making, CAD design, sketching, rendering, technical drawing and portfolio development. They will build an impressive body of work that reflects their individual design interests while gaining an understanding of contemporary design industries and professional practice.

Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English Language or Maths.
Grade 4 or above in an Art, Design or Media based GCSE is preferred.

Students will be required to present a portfolio or sketchbook of artwork as part of the interview process to demonstrate commitment and potential
