Celebrating T-Levels Week with Practical Experience

In celebration of T-Levels Week, our T-Level Education and Early Years students took part in a hands-on observation challenge designed to develop their skills as future Early Years Educators.

This week's project supported the development of key skills for the qualification, where learners created autumn-themed learning activities suitable for young children.

"One of my favourite aspects of the course is being able to put theory into practice. We learn about different approaches in the classroom and then have the opportunity to observe and apply this knowledge during our industry placements. This really helps bring our learning to life!"

Nia, T-Level Education and Early Years learner

Nia is an aspiring Speech and Language Therapist, and thanks the course for being an excellent stepping stone towards achieving this goal. It has been a strong foundation of knowledge before her progression onto Higher Education after college.

T-Levels support USP College's career-focused approach, creating direct industry connections and qualifying students for university. The College also teaches Education and Early Years courses as part of our Higher Education provision, a fantastic choice for career-driven learners looking for local study.

"I have always been interested in working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), although I am still exploring which specific career path I would like to follow. What I love about this course is that I don't need to have everything figured out just yet. It is helping me build a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience that will prepare me for whichever career I choose."

Kerry, T-Level Education and Early Years learner

Kerry recommends the course to anyone interested in working with children, and cites the combination of classroom learning, practical activities and industry placements as an opportunity to prepare for her future career.

A T-Level is a two-year course dedicated to technical study and industry placements. Alongside coursework, learners complete a 45-day work placement at a company connected to their chosen industry.
