Balancing coursework, deadlines and everyday life can sometimes feel overwhelming. That’s where Success Coaches can help.
Our new Success Coaches will work with students to build confidence, develop practical skills and stay focused on their goals. Through one-to-one sessions, students can explore what is holding them back and create realistic strategies to help them move forward.
Success Coaching can help students create structure around their studies, from planning coursework to managing deadlines. Breaking work into smaller, manageable steps can make assignments feel less daunting and help students take control of their workload.
“It helped me make a structured plan of times and days I’d focus on coursework.”
“It also allowed me to develop my time management skills.”
Coaching is not just about study plans - it can also give students the space to reflect, recognise their strengths and approach challenges with a more positive mindset.
“It made me have a calmer and more organised approach, and boosted my confidence.”
Small changes — such as setting achievable goals, taking regular breaks or completing a difficult task — can build momentum and make a real difference over time.
Early support can help students develop positive habits before challenges become overwhelming. Success Coaches will work alongside teaching teams, Wellbeing and Learning Plus to provide an additional layer of targeted support.
Sessions can focus on areas including:
