USP College will be heading to The Pearson National Teaching Awards held in London on Saturday, 28th November.
The annual ceremony known as the ‘Oscars’ of teaching will bring together teachers, lecturers, support staff, schools and colleges from across the country to celebrate the achievements and impact of educators.
The Student Experience Team at USP College was announced as a Silver Winner in the Further Education Team of the Year category in June and is now in the running for Gold.
The award celebrates the joined-up support network that sits behind every student at the College, across all campuses. Safeguarding staff, progress coaches, careers advisors, work experience officers, student services, enrichment and student voice leads, and the Learning Resource Centre teams work side by side to remove barriers, raise aspirations and drive achievement.
The recognition reflects the College's commitment to putting students at the centre of everything it does, ensuring every student across the campuses has the guidance, resources and pastoral care they need to succeed at college and beyond.
The glamorous awards ceremony will be held at The Brewery in Central London and will be hosted by TV presenter and broadcaster Gaby Roslin. Only one Gold Winner will be announced in each of the awards’ 16 categories.
Run by the Teaching Awards Trust, an independent charity, and sponsored by Pearson, the world’s lifelong learning company, the awards shine a spotlight on the pivotal roles teachers, support staff, colleges, schools and early years educators play in inspiring young people, every single day.
Mary Palmer, CEO of the Teaching Awards Trust, says: “Educators across the country work every day to support and educate young people, with often little recognition of the huge value they are bringing to their schools and communities. The awards ceremony remains an important opportunity to thank them for their contributions to education and celebrate the positive impact they have on people’s lives. I’m looking forward to congratulating all our 2026 winners and wish them the very best ahead of the ceremony.”
