USP College celebrates strong Level 2 vocational and GCSE performance

USP College students are celebrating an impressive set of Level 1 and 2 vocational results today, with Creative Media Production & Technology and Fashion Business & Retail both achieving 100% pass rates, alongside improved overall pass rates across Level 2 vocational qualifications.

The College, which offers career-focused courses from entry level through to Level 6, is also celebrating a record number of students achieving grades 4-9 in GCSE English and Maths. The results highlight the continued progress and success of students and staff across the College.

Among those celebrating is Briezsha, a Level 1 Health & Social Care student, who achieved a Distinction in her main qualification as well as GCSE English and Maths. Briezsha was delighted with her results and is now looking ahead to her next steps; “I was so happy with my results, I cried when I opened them! This has opened so many opportunities to me, I’m going to train to be a nurse next.”

Also celebrating is Alexander Pursey who achieved his GCSE Maths, meaning he will progress onto Level 2 Art & Design in the new academic year. Alexander, who won Creative Industries Student of the Year at the College’s recent Student Awards ceremony said: “I’m really shocked, but really happy!”
