The V Level in Education is an exciting new qualification designed for students who are passionate about supporting children and young people to learn and develop. You will explore how people learn, the role of education in society, child development, inclusion, safeguarding and the importance of supporting positive outcomes for learners.
Combining academic study with practical industry knowledge, this qualification provides an excellent foundation for progression into higher education, apprenticeships and careers within the education sector.
Modules
Core:
Develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of the key theories and principles which support effective practice in the subject, including:
- The use of pedagogical approaches and the theories that underpin them
- The concept of setting specific learning goals and success criteria for a learning session
- The principles of effective communication
- The principles of inclusion within the education and early years sector
- The principles of providing effective feedback to students
- The concept of reflective practice
- The impact of legislation and guidance on policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of students

Entry requirements
At least five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English or Maths, or a relevant Level 2 qualification with a good achievement profile.
Specific Entry Requirements
- An interest in working with children, young people or within educational settings.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude towards supporting learning and development.
