What will I study?

Through a series of project-based assignments, you’ll gain the essential skills for games design and development. During the HNC, you’ll build strong analytical abilities, deepen your understanding of the games industry, explore core design theories, and learn to conceptualise ideas and bring them to life through practical development. You’ll also examine both historical and contemporary practices shaping the field.

Entry requirements

  • 96 UCAS Points from A-Levels (preferably with a creative course) or a BTEC Level 3 programme in Games Development or Creative Media.
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 or above.

What could I do next?

Studying this course, you will achieve the Level 5 HND (Higher National Diploma) in Games Development, which is the equivalent to the first two years of a degree. You could choose to progress onto a Level 6 degree. We offer Games Art BA (Hons), accredited by Coventry University, so you can continue studying with us on the BA (Hons) Games Art
