The Pearson T Level in Marketing is a two-year, Level 3 qualification (equivalent to three A-Levels) starting in September 2026. It combines classroom theory with a minimum 315-hour of industry placement to give students real workplace experience. Students learn core business and marketing principles — market research, customer behaviour, promotional strategies, procurement, technology’s impact, ethics and sustainability. There’s also an occupational specialism: Marketing Assistant (multi-channel). This course is excellent for those aiming for careers in digital marketing, event management, media & advertising, or who want a pathway into higher education or apprenticeships with strong industry relevance.
How will the student be taught and assessed?
· 2 CORE Exams
· 1 Employer Set Project
· 1 Occupational Specialism Assessment
· 45 Day/315 Hours in Industry Placement
You will need to supply your own lesson resources including stationary and organised folders
Trips/visits – Any course field trip will incur extra costs for food/beverages
This qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed to work in any sector within an administrative and managerial role and prepares students to enter through employment or as an Apprentice.
Furthermore, the completion of this qualifications gives students the opportunity to progress onto higher education courses and training.
· Careers in Marketing Leadership and Management - Within the workplace, you can progress into a range of marketing roles ideally in a management setting
· Education progression - Within education you can progress onto degree or degree apprenticeships into a range of subject areas which include Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising, E Commerce
· College progression - Within the college there is the opportunity to progress onto a range of Level 4 and 5 higher education opportunities
· Alternatively, students could progress to higher-level Apprenticeships such as the Level 4 Marketing Executive, Level 4 Market Research Executive, or Level 4 Public Relations and Communications Assistant, depending on their skills or experience.
