  As part of this course, you will gain invaluable industry experience through a 1-day-a-week placement at Metal Culture at Chalkwell Hall, provided by the Agency for Creative Production CIC. This placement includes access to:

  • Workshops to refine your creative and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Guidance and mentoring, helping you navigate the industry.
  • Networking opportunities to expand your professional connections. You’ll have the chance to work within the industry, building vital relationships and gaining practical experience that will help you forge your own path.

What will I study?

This qualification allows you to develop your creative expertise while cultivating essential business and enterprise skills. It’s tailored to individuals eager to develop their careers, empowering you to take charge of your future. You’ll expand your contact base, work on a start-up project, and refine your professional practice.

You will be taught through a combination of:

• Seminars
• Group critiques
• 1:1 tutorials
• Practical workshops
• Formal assessments, which are entirely coursework-based, will be set throughout the year to monitor your progress.

Entry requirements

You will need a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.

It is recommended that you have GCSE grade 4/C or above, or an equivalent Level 2 qualification, in both English and Maths.

Additional costs

• This course is free for learners aged 16-18.
• For students aged 19 or over on 1 September in the academic year you wish to start, the fee is £4,006.
