Higher Education FAQs
Do I need to apply through UCAS?
No. You can apply directly to USP College for our HE courses, including through Clearing. This is quicker than UCAS and you can get a decision fast.
Is it too late to start this year?
No. Clearing is open now for September 2026 entry, and we have places available. Apply direct and we'll come back to you quickly.
I didn't get the grades I expected. Can I still get a place?
Often yes, and we consider your wider experience, not just exam results. Talk to our team and we'll tell you where you stand.
I don't have a Level 3 qualification. Is there a route in?
Yes. If you don't have the Level 3 needed for a degree-level course, our Access to Higher Education Diplomas are designed to get you there in one year, with no A-levels required. See our Access Courses here Adult Education
What qualification will I get?
Our HE courses lead to HNC / HND / Foundation Degree / HTQ, which are recognised higher education qualifications. Many students progress to a full degree afterwards, either with us or at a partner university.
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
Tuition is advised per course on each course page. You can choose to fund through a Tuition Fee Loan from Student Finance England. You don't pay anything upfront, and you only start repaying once you're earning above the repayment threshold. Maintenance loans are also available to help with living costs. Financial Support
Can I study part-time or around work?
Yes. Several of our HE and Adult courses are available part-time or with flexible timetables.
