Salary:£25,706 - £36,539  Dependant on experience and qualifications (Actual salary will be pro rata) 

Location: Seevic Campus, Benfleet, Essex

Hours:  22 hours per week. 52 weeks a year

Job Overview:

Due to unprecedented growth in our academic provision at USP College, we are looking for a passionate Teacher of IT. We are looking forward to receiving applications from teachers that can deliver high quality, creative and engaging lessons while successfully supporting and inspiring our students. As part of our energetic, student focused and welcoming team, you will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success by challenging, supporting, inspiring and working closely with our excellent learners.

As a prospective member of the STEM team at USP College, alongside the wider Academic team, you should be a subject specialist who will inspire and motivate your students to exceed their aspirations.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers, to observe and share best practice on a regular basis, developing pedagogy through reflection. You will be able to build positive relationships with young people and support them to achieve their long-term career goals.  You will be able to use your expertise and emotional intelligence to unlock barriers to your students’ progress and provide the tools, support, and challenge they need to go forwards. An understanding of Safeguarding including Prevent and Keeping Children Safe in Education legislation will also be required.

You will be an enthusiastic individual looking to make a real difference to the progress and learning experience for our young learners at USP College. THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Experienced industry based individuals will be considered and given the opportunity to secure a role leading to the completion of a recognised post-16 teaching qualification.
  • Honours Degree. (Ideally within the subject area you wish to teach)

 

 

This role is considered exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
