Job Overview:

Be at the forefront of delivering innovative and inspiring content to a number stakeholders. This position will lead the collation, creation and distribution of news stories, on-campus activities and educational content to engage all stakeholders.

Take charge of our brand image and how the College is perceived through its external and internal marketing presence. Engage and grow our 15,000 social followers with content that demonstrates our career-focused and innovative approach to education.

Ultimately, creating and delivering compelling campaigns to meet student recruitment objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead in amplifying our social media presence, engaging our vibrant community of over 15,000 followers with compelling content that reflects our innovative approach to education. From captivating stories to interactive campaigns, you'll be the driving force behind our social media success. Keeping ahead of developments and trends to ensure engaging and competitive campaigns.
  • Nurture and expand our alumni network, building relationships that strengthen our community and showcase the impact of USP College - driving our career-focused approach.
  • Build, forge and maintain meaningful connections with our wider community. Through social media engagements and conversations as well as relationship building to collaboratively share USP College’s story.
  • Unleash your creativity as you curate and share exciting stories across a multitude of platforms, from newsletters to social media, website to staff intranet. Your storytelling and information gathering will captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression of USP College.
  • Be the driving force and lead our internal communications initiatives, ensuring that colleagues are informed, inspired, and engaged as ambassadors of our college's strategy. Utilise a variety of channels to disseminate information effectively including monthly newsletters, updating our college app and exploring new methods for engagement and delivery.
  • Champion the values and strategic direction of the college and empower others to become brand ambassadors.
  • Assist in the preparation, design, and delivery of eye-catching publicity materials for various purposes, including events, student recruitment, and public relations. Your creative flair and eye for details will play a pivotal role in promoting our college's offerings and achievements to a range of stakeholders.
  • Coordinate digital campaigns in alignment with our marketing calendar, strategically hitting key milestones in the recruitment and learner journey. Your ability to plan and execute campaigns will be crucial in achieving our objectives.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence in our college brand across all internal and external communications and publications. You'll be the guardian of our visual identity, ensuring that every piece of content reflects our brand values including continuous monitoring and challenging of colleagues.
  • Provide support to the Marketing Team in various operational activities, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to promote our college effectively and achieve our targets.
  • Provide evaluative reports of promotional activities and digital campaigns.

General:

  • Actively promote the College’s Equalities and Diversity policies within all aspects of the post.
  • Adhere to and proactively promote the College’s Values and Behaviours at all times.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding that Safeguarding including PREVENT is a shared cross College responsibility and to ensure that Safeguarding is robustly embedded into the curriculum and staffing community appropriate to their role within the organisation.
  • Carry out supplementary evening or day and or weekend duties as required.
  • To participate in staff CPD days, to gain valuable industry experience.
  • Comply with the requirements of College Policies and Procedures.
  • Be responsible for the implementation of and compliance with the College’s Health and Safety policy.
  • Champion and embody best practice College developmental activities including Performance Appraisals.
  • To be involved and participate in Student CPD days.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in social media management.
  • Proven ability to produce engaging content across various platforms.
  • Strong writing skills in marketing, journalism, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and campaign measurement.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Photography

The right candidate will have:

  • Degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Experience in website content management.
  • Previous engagement with media contacts and press releases.
  • Knowledge of the FE environment or related sectors.
  • Experience in advertising or working with brand agencies.
