USP College student secures their place at Oxford University after receiving fantastic results.

Andrea Neville, A-Level English Literature, Sociology, History and Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) student at USP College, Palmer’s Campus has secured her place at the University of Oxford.

Andrea, 18 from Grays, will study Ancient and Modern History at one of the world’s leading universities this October after receiving four A*s.

After speaking to Andrea about receiving her results she said:

The application process for the University of Oxford starts in October and Andrea received an offer to study at the university in January, subject to her meeting the entry requirements.

She added: “My teachers have supported me every step of the way and the Careers support was amazing. They helped me throughout the process from the application stage right to helping me prepare for the Admissions Tests.

“The College has really helped me learn how to work independently which has been great preparation for university, but equally I always knew they were there to support me if I needed it.”

Participation into Higher Education from students in the Grays area is typically low, so to see students such as Andrea progress into Higher Education and secure places at top universities is a fantastic achievement.

The College offers a wide range of A-Level subjects as well as Academic Applied subjects. We are still taking applications for September 2021.
