Making Skyline Connections

USP College Business and Finance students expand their professional connections at a recent Networking Event in London.

Students from USP College, travelled to London for the BNY Mellon Networking Event as part of International Women’s History Month.

The 37 students, studying Business and Finance A-Level and BTEC Level 3 Business, attended a networking breakfast and heard about the bank's values, its early careers programme and recruitment opportunities.

BNY Mellon has a focus on gender equality, stating: “Firms that do a good job recruiting, retaining and supporting women in the workplace tend to outperform firms that don’t.”

The trip is part of USP College's mission to prepare their students for the world of work by providing regular opportunities to engage with employers.
Throughout their courses, students are encouraged to take part in work placements, attend industry talks, go on networking trips and take on real-life business projects set by employers.

USP College believes that their strong links with industry – such as this one with BNY Mellon – can give students a unique insight and edge when they go to start their chosen careers.
